Reiki

Reiki is an energy medicine. An ancient form of Japanese Healing, "Rei" translating to universal life and "ki" translating to energy. Reiki is an effective, non-invasive therapy for those seeking to relieve grief, stress and pain, induce relaxation, release emotional blockages, accelerate natural healing, and balance subtle body energies.

Reiki can help by accelerating the body's ability to heal itself, clearing the mind and balancing the chakras. Leaving you feeling at peace and filled with positive healing energy. Reiki clients report feeling deep warmth, deeply relaxed, peaceful and spiritually connected.  They seek this treatment for various reasons including grief and loss, stress relief, anxiety, and support for healing after injury or surgery.

Reiki is an effective healing tool when the client is contraindicated for massage therapy or other bodywork modalities. Reiki is also beneficial for people in palliative and hospice care and for those supporting them. Reiki energy can help to ease transitions, before, during and after a life changing event.

What happens during a Reiki treatment?

The client, fully clothed, lies on a massage table or in a chair. After a gentle breath exploration to help ground the body, the practitioner’s hands are gently placed on or slightly above the body in a series of positions from head to toe. Reiki passes from the practitioner (the Reiki conduit) to the receiver (patient), working on many different levels.
